Introducing Laser Acne Treatment

Are you tired of your unsightly acne? If so, then you will understand the benefits that laser treatments can offer. Acne is not new skin condition, but using lasers to treat it is a modern and extremely effective solution. For any acne treatment to work, it must target the cause of your spots. This skin condition is a result of excess sebum (oil) production, p. acnis bacteria in the skin, and inflammation. Laser treatments can stop your acne in its tracks, usually by stopping excess production of oil, although there are also several other laser types depending on your specific requirements.
The types lasers used to treat acne vary in the wavelengths of light used, as different lasers are more effective at treating different types of acne, and use different strategies to do so. The majority work by destroying the sebaceous glands that makes your skin oily. This is effective if your pimples are caused by oil clogging your pores and hair follicles. Blue light therapy is used to target the p. acnes bacteria. Stronger lasers can also be used to remove a very thin layer of skin, which can reduce the appearance of acne scars.
Most people who undergo laser acne treatment opt to have several sessions, each taking just a few minutes. They are done in a dermatologist’s office, and the sessions should be scheduled at least a week apart, to allow your skin time to recover. However, even one treatment often makes a visible difference in the appearance of blemishes. Many patients will also choose to have a combination of laser treatments to target more than one cause of their blemishes.
During the treatment, a small laser device will be pressed against your skin. This procedure can be used anywhere you are prone to breakouts, including your face, chest, or back. It is effective at getting rid of existing pimples and stopping new breakouts. Some types of lasers can even minimize the appearance of your preexisting acne scars.
During the procedure you may feel slight discomfort, like you skin is being flicked by a rubber band. However, there are a few minimal side effects that can occur. Afterward treatment your skin may be slightly red and swollen, this is to be expected and should subside very quickly. Within a week, you won’t be able to tell you had the procedure, other than your clearer skin. Compared to the alternatives of prescription acne medication or messy creams, laser treatments may actually be one of the easiest ways to get rid of your acne.
Laser treatment should not be considered if you only have mild pimples or occasional breakouts. It is usually used for those who have severe acne that will not go away, even after the use of topical creams or other remedies. If you’re considering laser acne treatment, first make sure that you have exhausted all of your other options. Then schedule a consultation with a certified dermatologist, who can evaluate your skin and let you know whether laser treatment is suitable for your situation.
If you have severe acne, you’re probably self-conscious about your skin. It can be a pain to deal with spots every day. If your acne blemishes just won’t go away, consider laser acne treatment.

Brittany,
Laser acne treatment is a procedure that produces genuine results, especially in case of severe acne that is difficult to treat with other methods.
I recommend that you look up your local clinic and book and initial appointment - you have nothing to lose by taking a free consultation.

I have moderate acne on my face and have recently had laser treatment to clear it up as no topical treatments seemed to completely do the trick. Even though it’s only been two days, I genuinely believe I’ve seen an improvement, although my skin does feel a lot drier than usual. I would definitely recommend!
